Motörhead Whats Words Worth Album Cover
Album Type:
Release Date:
5 March 1983 (Recorded 18 February 1978)
Big Beat Records
Album Description:

Dr Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson organised a fund raising event staged on 18 February 1978 at The Roundhouse, London, in order to raise money to preserve some rare William Wordsworth manuscripts. Motörhead agreed to appear as part of the line up but could not perform under their own name for contactual reasons. With typical tongue in cheek (we think) Lemmy chose the name "Iron Fist and the Hordes from Hell" part of which obviously resurfaced later as a song/album title in its own right.

Chiswick Records boss Ted Carroll arranged the Rolling Stones mobile truck to record the event and later released the album through his Big Beat Records label in 1983.
